Gubernatorial candidates Democrat Governor Cindy Holscher and Republican state Senator Ty Masterson have split on legislation enacted last year to establish a 20-year state and local tax exemption for data center development. While Masterson supported passage and Holscher approved Senate Bill 98, the governor’s position has “evolved” and she is now calling for a statewide moratorium according to KSHB 41.
