Michael Beckerman has spent his entire 40-year career in the commercial real estate sector, working at the intersection of real estate and technology. Early on, he built and exited the largest commercial real estate media relations firm in the U.S. before pivoting exclusively into technology.
He became a foundational architect of the proptech asset class and is the most active angel investor in the space, with a portfolio of over 50 technology investments.
Beckerman is currently CEO of CREtech, the largest annual conference for AI across the built world in the U.S., drawing roughly 3,000 senior executives in New York each year. He also serves as a venture partner at Montauk Capital, where he supports the firm’s infrastructure technology portfolio across the built environment.
